WANNA START A PACK? >> j&d is the one you want to message about starting a pack. they will help your through the entire process, ensuring everything goes smoothly. (don't worry about their activity. they get busy irl often, but i have contact with them outside of LSGB and can call on them if they're needed!)
>> first of all: any species may create a pack! though cats may use the terms clan or clowder, and foxes may use skulk or leash. this is not required! if your cats want a pack, so be it. you may also use other terms, like tribe! mixed species packs are allowed, but we prefer to keep them to a minimum.
>> the leader must be the one to start the pack. no exceptions. they may have help from other characters, though. the owner of the leader will be in charge of creating the pack, naming it, and choosing a territory, among other things.
>> please try to have a few members before you start a pack. you can't really call a single animal a pack. try to have your character make a few friends first, recruitment some loners, bribe some housepets. we'll say a minimum of 3, including you, is preferred unless you have a good reason.
>> the leader will be in charge of building the pack's structure and history. when you pick your territory, a sub-board will be created for your pack. in here, you can make a thread or so (max 3 sticky threads per pack), detailing the history, structure, positions, goals, or whatever else you would like people to know, should they consider joining your pack. if your pack is brand new, consider writing a small piece about your leader getting things started. you're encouraged to add to your pack's history as time goes on, if you so wish!
>> packs can changed leadership, but it is up to the current leader's rper. the leader may choose to have the pack be passed on through family, eventually picking a child of theirs to be the heir. maybe the leader simply chooses the best pack member to continue the legacy. if there is consent across all parties, battles and challenges may decide the leader. takeovers are allowed, but as always, all people involved must consent. you may not try to take over a pack unless the rper of the leader agrees.
>> your starting territory is free. if you wish to move your pack in the future, it will cost you, the leader, {500.00 tokens. you also have the option of creating an entirely new location, however that will cost you {1200.00 tokens.
>> more info may be added in the future
