OUT OF CHARACTER>> be kind! lsgb is meant to be a peaceful, laid back community. anyone found stirring up trouble will be warned, and eventually banned if it persists. we allow swearing anywhere, both ic and out, but please don't ever direct it at another member.
>> keep active! if you're going away for any extended period of time, please let us know! it's understandable if you do not have access to internet, however, but if you're capable of telling us, please do.
>> keep it clean! try to keep all conversations and rps within the proboards tos. anything that could get the the site in trouble will get your account deleted in order to protect lsgb.
>> the chat is not your therapist! for the most part, try to keep your personal issues out of the chat. if you want to discuss those things elsewhere, feel free, as there are plenty of other places to do so.
>> no stealing! plagiarism isn't okay, ever, this goes for both characters and images. if you're not sure how to find images under creative commons, i'm sure there are members who would be happy to help you! being unsure about the availability of an image is not an acceptable excuse for stealing.
>> keep everything legible! when making ic posts, please make sure to keep your grammar, capitalization, and punctuation all neat and tidy! ooc, we'll say keep to those rules, minus capitalization, because all three of the admins tend not to capitalize ooc and it wouldn't be fair to anyone else if we didn't allow it. of course, saying things like brb and lmao are fine, but don't go overboard.

>> 200 word minimum! please keep all of your ic posts at that or more. more is always welcome, but the minimum is 200.
>> unlimited characters! we have no limit on the number of characters you can create, the only thing we ask is that you keep them all active! we will be doing character activity checks every now and then, and inactive characters will be moved to the archives. you'll have to spend tokens to retrieve any of them.
>> 3rd person, please! please keep all ic posts in 3rd person, this means using he/she, such as "he walked around the corner." (1st person uses 'I', 2nd uses 'you', these are not allowed)
>> liquid time is allowed! liquid time means having your character in several places (meaning several threads) at one time.
>> no power playing or god modding! meaning, do not decide the actions of any characters but your own (unless you have explicit permission) and do not make your character invincible.

>> use the creation form provided! there is a form in the creation board, it is required that you use it as it is. please, just fill it out, there's no need to change anything.
>> 9 months or older! characters created on lsgb must be 9 months old or older. you may purchase a younger character from the giftshop, provided you have someone else willing to be the child's guardian. the guardian cannot be one of your own characters.
>> no mary sues and gary sues! keep the cliches to a minimum, nobody is perfect.
>> any current-day canine, feline, and vulpine breeds are allowed! if it exists now, in real life, it can be made as a character. extinct animals are not allowed.
>> popular breeds/species can be banned! if a certain breed or species gets too popular, it will be banned until the numbers even out. we will try give warnings before a ban is placed, but it's not guaranteed, as we may not catch it in time.
>> no love at first sight! just, no. give it some time.
>> interspecies romances are allowed! but they cannot breed. they may adopt, though.

>> 1 complete thread! characters must have at least 1 completed thread together before they can breed.
>> fade to black! fade to black when breeding/birthing, explicit scenes are against the proboards tos.
>> forced breeding is up to the rpers. but both rpers must give consent. just like normal breeding, please fade to black.
>> you may breed any time of the year. there is no specific month character have to breed and there are no specific places they must breed or give birth. that is all up to the rpers. just... don't do it in the middle of the street... where there are cars and people... that could make things awkward.
>> once bred, please post in the maternity board! there will be a form waiting for both of the parents to fill out. once that's done, a staff member will create your litter!
>> parents pick first! the rpers of the parents will pick their baby first, and then, only then, will other members be about to claim one. other members will not be allowed to reserve a baby before the parents choose. the remaining babies will always be first come first serve.
>> keep size in mind! please keep the sizes of your characters in mind when breeding. at least try to keep them in the same size range.
>> birthing takes places the season after the breeding! if your characters bred in spring, the babies will be born during the summer. the season changes with each 1 irl month.
>> you will have 1 irl month to create your baby! this goes for the parents, too. any claimed babies must be created within a month of the litter having been made, or they will made available to claim by someone else. you aren't allowed to reclaim your baby or whine about it, as it is no one's fault but your own.
>> to claim a baby you must already have at least 1 character and have been on lsgb for a couple weeks minimum! this is to make sure the babies will be kept active!
